| Wind-driven snow sends cars careening into ditches
The notice said there were numerous cars in the ditch and motorists were advised against driving on county roads as well as highways. The Sheriff’s Department had also banned towing at that time, according to the advisory sent out by Lt. George Fountas.A warm-up of temperatures into the low 30s on Sunday was just enough to combine with blowing snow to make North Iowa roads particularly icy, causing multiple headaches for area law enforcement officials, drivers and towing companies. No injuries were reported." ‘Car in the ditch, car in the ditch, car in the ditch,’ that’s all I’ve heard this afternoon," said a spokeswoman for the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department on Sunday. "The roads are slick, icy and people need to slow down."It was the same story being told by dispatchers about activity on Interstate Highway 35."Nothing major, people in ditches — people who don’t know when to stay home," said a Worth County dispatcher."I can’t tell you the number of 9-1-1 calls I’ve forwarded on to the State Patrol," agreed a dispatcher for the Clear Lake Police Department.
He Put In His Thumb And Pulled Out A Blum
Well, anabolic steroids (even before it was against MLB rules to used them, instituted in 2005.) And Growth Hormone, let's not forget that evil drug, which turns Mario Mendozas into Barry Lamar Himself. Between finally indicting Barry Lamar, the only ballplayer who ever did steroids or HGH (so they say), the epitome of everything that is wrong with baseball (except for Scott Boras, who commits the unspeakable act of trying to fulfill his clients wishes of getting the biggest contract/endorsements they possibly can.) You don't see anyone heaping the kinds of invective and abuse upon roids users who have actually been caught with positive tests such as Ryan Franklin and JC Romero, do you? Why am I mentioning all this? For the simple reason that the owners have FINALLY figured out how to make the ballplayers look bad to the public so they can get away with paying them less and keeping more of the profit for themselves while continuing to raise ticket prices.
What's a Superdelegate To Do?
Imagine for a moment you're a member of what's becoming the most scrutinized group of political players in years: the 796 superdelegates to the Democratic National Convention. You are unbound by any rule or custom in choosing whether to vote for either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama. It's increasingly likely that you and your fellow supers—senators, House members, governors, state party chairs, national committee members, and other worthies—will hold the key to the nomination. So, how do you decide whom to support? Let's assume you're determined to apply the soundest principles of fairness and justice (I know, I know, you're a political animal, but indulge me). Let's also assume that you've somehow put on one of John Rawls' "veils of ignorance," which means you're making your decision free of knowing which candidate would benefit from it.

(NYSE: FDX) , today announced they have agreed to test a Class 6 vehicle employing hybrid hydraulic technology that seeks to improve fuel mileage by greater than 50 percent and significantly reduce engine emissions. The new vehicles will rely on a Parker series hybrid hydraulic drive that eliminates the conventional transmission, along with its weight and maintenance, while improving drive train power density. Primary pump/motor components developed by Parker leverage additional technologies developed by the EPA to create a true series hybrid drive as opposed to a parallel system that would increase vehicle weight. The system captures, stores and deploys energy by recovering inertial energy and optimizing engine efficiency, using Parker hydraulic technology.
